Create a Japanese Food Allergy Card

Create a personalized Japanese food allergy card for your trip to Japan. Select allergens, preview Japanese translations, and order a downloadable card.

Your foods, in Japanese and English.

Ask about the ingredients in dashi, sauces and seasonings separately from the main dish. A visible ingredient list is only the start of the conversation.

Japan’s Consumer Affairs Agency publishes food allergy communication sheets. Use these as another way to discuss ingredients with a restaurant. A packaged-food label and a restaurant conversation provide different information; do not assume a menu lists every ingredient.

Discuss the actual dish.

Japan’s Consumer Affairs Agency publishes food allergy communication sheets. Use these as another way to discuss ingredients with a restaurant. A packaged-food label and a restaurant conversation provide different information; do not assume a menu lists every ingredient.

Show your card before ordering, allow staff to check with the kitchen, and ask about ingredients and preparation separately. Do not assume that a familiar dish has the same recipe in another restaurant.

How to use your Japanese card

  1. Check each selected food against your own allergy information.
  2. Read the English reference and have the translated wording checked.
  3. Save the PNG offline or print a copy.
  4. Show staff before choosing a dish and ask them to confirm the ingredients.

Personal notes are displayed as typed, without automatic translation. A contact field is optional. Severe-reaction and cross-contact statements appear only when selected by you.

What do I receive?

Basic is a personalized PNG for $3.99. Detailed is $9.99 and includes the PNG and a PDF with ingredient notes, restaurant questions and a travel checklist.

Do I need an account?

No. Checkout uses your email for the receipt and a private access link. There are no subscriptions or credit balances.

Are the translations professionally reviewed?

Professional review has not been recorded for the current draft version. Official sources support our guidance; they do not certify these translations. Paid checkout is enabled only for a version explicitly approved by the operator.

Are my personal notes translated?

No. Notes are shown exactly as typed and labeled with that limitation. Do not put an unverified translation on a card.

Does a card make a meal safe?

No. It is a communication aid and does not replace clinical advice, emergency medication or a personal emergency plan.
